This workshop is aimed at those who have not climbed for a while and need to brush up on their skills before registering as competent users of the centre, focusing on safe and recognised belay techniques and rope work.
This 45 min session is not a tuition workshop and will not teach any new skills, simply refresh those that have been previously learned, and give you an opportunity to practice in a controlled environment with expert staff on hand to give advice as needed.
You can also book a refresher 'on demand' - just ask our instructors when you arrive and they will run the workshop/assessment at a time that suits for £25 (including your casual climbing fee and equipment hire so you can stay as long as you like)
To book a session, simply click on a session you wish to attend and reserve your places. You will need to select the total number of places you wish to reserve as each booking can only be made with one email address. Payment for sessions are collected on arrival unless prompted otherwise. All sessions are on the calendar or listed individually below.

These sessions are designed for people who want to give climbing a try, and see what all the fuss is about. Even if you have only climbed the stairs, you will learn basic techniques to show you how fun and safe climbing can be.
The competent climbing course is for the complete novice, or those who have done a little climbing in the past, who want to learn the basics of safe belaying and climbing techniques.
If you are ready for the next level, these workshops will give you the confidence to step up and out as far as your ability will allow.
