An intensive course teaching the safety and techniques of lead climbing and belaying. For those who want to really push their ability indoors and outdoors.
The course is run over 2 sessions lasting approx 4 hours. Participants MUST have their own belay device and harness to attend. We can provide rock shoes and a lead rope for use on the course. Please be aware LEAD Climbing can be extremely dangerous and participants should only attend if confident to climb without tight top rope already.
To book a session, simply click on a session you wish to attend and reserve your places. You will need to select the total number of places you wish to reserve as each booking can only be made with one email address. Payment for sessions are collected on arrival unless prompted otherwise. All sessions are on the calendar or listed individually below.

These sessions are designed for people who want to give climbing a try, and see what all the fuss is about. Even if you have only climbed the stairs, you will learn basic techniques to show you how fun and safe climbing can be.
The competent climbing course is for the complete novice, or those who have done a little climbing in the past, who want to learn the basics of safe belaying and climbing techniques.
If you are ready for the next level, these workshops will give you the confidence to step up and out as far as your ability will allow.
This workshop is aimed at those who have not climbed for a while and need to brush up on their skills before registering as competent users of the centre, focusing on safe and recognised belay techniques and rope work.
