Join us for a fantastic day climbing outdoors with Tony Penning and the Far Peak team.
Our trips will give kids a real taste of what climbing outdoors is all about under the expert guidance of Tony Penning and the Far Peak team. We explore a number of different venues, in and around the Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean. We have a fully endorsed AALA licence, so parents can drop their children off for the day, or go for an explore while we climb.
Our main venues are at Symonds Yat and Wintours Leap (near Chepstow), but occassionally we travel further (and nearer) afield to other super crags.
Full day - 10 or 11am to 5pm
Half day - afternoon/evening with approx 4 hours climbing. These are specialist trips with only 4 places available and designed for those wanting a really unique experience
Outdoor Xtreme - for those looking for a real challenge, perfect for NICAS Level 3+ or grade 5+ upwards! This day is not for the faint hearted.....
Unfortunately, we cannot take responsibility for any parties who have not directly booked onto each trip. The crags and surrounding areas can be extremely hazardous, so our full attention must be on the participants. However, there are some great walks and viewpoints around the climbing areas which can be explored with children and dogs so please take the opportunity to have an explore!
To book a session, simply click on a session you wish to attend and reserve your places. You will need to select the total number of places you wish to reserve as each booking can only be made with one email address. Payment for sessions are collected on arrival unless prompted otherwise. All sessions are on the calendar or listed individually below.
Activities for children begin with our Kids Sessions and Mini Rockers sessions, as a great way to encourage their love for the sport. These fun and exciting sessions can be enjoyed by complete beginners, or those who just want a taster of what climbing is all about.
